Kevin joined Defaqto in October 2009 as Insight Analyst for Banking. His particular areas of focus are mortgages, loans, equity release, savings, current accounts and credit cards.
Kevin’s key responsibilities include reviewing, developing and producing banking-related Star Ratings, authoring publications and commentary on key issues within the sector, producing bespoke case studies and research for providers and intermediaries, representing Defaqto at industry forums and events, and acting as a media spokesperson for Defaqto.
Kevin has more than 24 years’ experience in the financial services industry working for Halifax Building Society and subsequently HBOS. During this time he successfully undertook a number of roles, including Senior Mortgage Underwriter, Arrears & Possessions Unit Manager, Mortgage Desk Manager and Business Development Manager in the East Region while also playing a significant role in key mortgage projects.
Kevin subsequently qualified as an independent mortgage broker advising and selling mortgage, general insurance and protection products before setting up his own mortgage shop as a franchise.
