Insight Analyst - General Insurance

Mike joined Defaqto in November 2003. His is currently Insight Analyst for General Insurance, covering all products within this sector. Mike specialises in market and competitor intelligence for the general insurance market and is responsible for the ongoing development of Defaqto’s general insurance products.

His key responsibilities include reviewing, developing and producing general insurance-related Star Ratings, authoring publications and commentary on key issues within the sector, producing bespoke case studies and research for providers and intermediaries, representing Defaqto at industry forums and events, and acting as a media spokesperson for Defaqto.

Before joining the Insight Team, Mike was lead researcher for commercial and motor insurance within Defaqto’s research team.

Mike has over 20 years’ experience in the insurance sector, spanning both providers and brokers. He has held managerial positions at Endsleigh Insurance Services and Coughlan Insurance Services, as well as a project management role at MCE Insurance Brokers.
