Metro Bank revolution gathers pace

Metro Bank, the first new High Street bank in over 100 years, has accelerated its store roll out programme in light of increasing customer demand for its services. The bank which offers seven day store banking and is open twice as long as other banks, will open three stores in as many months.

Cromwell Road, Earls Court, opens on Friday 3 September at 8am, adding to Metro Bank’s store network. The opening follows hot on the heels of the launch of Metro Bank's flagship Holborn store which saw retail and business customers willing to queue for up to four hours to open a current account.

In a bid to meet growing customer demand for additional stores, Metro Bank has brought forward the opening of its stores in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire and Fulham Broadway in West London. The developments form part of an ambitious expansion plan to open over 200+ stores over the next 10 years in Greater London.

Customers at the Cromwell Road store will be greeted by three days of free give aways including free breakfasts, smoothies, and popcorn. Stilt walkers, musicians, jugglers and shoe shiners will also be on hand to kick start the celebrations.

Metro Bank offers:

  • 7 day a week branch banking (8am-8pm Monday to Friday, 8am-6pm Saturday, 10am-4pm Sunday and bank holidays), 361 days of the year
