Future Researcher vacancies

Since 1994 we have built the largest, whole of market, financial product database and become one of the leading providers of financial product and funds data in the UK. We now cover more than 35,000 products across banking, life, pensions, investments and general insurance, plus more than 80,000 funds.

The data we research and collect underpins all our product and fund ratings, provider and intermediary product research tools and web services. It also supports all our insight and consultancy services. We are therefore interested in hearing from people with previous financial services experience who might want to join one of our Research teams in the future, so we can keep in touch and let you know as and when vacancies arise.

The role of a Researcher primarily involves:

  • Researching product information for a specified product area using the Internet, industry press, and documentation from product providers such as banks, building societies, insurers, underwriters, pension providers, fund managers, DFMs, etc;
  • Updating our database with any new information;
  • Building effective relationships with product providers to facilitate the acquisition of accurate and up to date information.

To be successful in the role, you’ll need to combine strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to interpret information and to think analytically. You’ll also need to be a proactive team player with an inquisitive, methodical approach to your work. A keen eye for detail and accurate data entry skills are both critical, together with good Excel skills.

Each Researcher possesses a detailed knowledge of one or more of these areas of financial services:

  • Banking
  • General Insurance
  • Life & Protection Insurance
  • Pensions & Investments
  • Funds & DFMs

You can find out more information about our four Research teams by viewing the attached Team Profiles.

Ideally, we'd like all our Researchers to be qualified to Level 3 (e.g. Certificate in Insurance, Certificate in Financial Services, CeMAP, etc.). We provide financial and study support to help you achieve a Level 3 qualification if you don't already have one.

In return, we can offer a unique and interesting role within a flexible and collaborative work environment. Salaries for Researchers are typically between £20k and £30k, dependent upon skills, experience, financial product knowledge and market expertise.

All current vacancies are advertised on our website, but if there is nothing suitable for you right now then feel free to register your interest for potential future Researcher vacancies.
