John Milliken

Chief Executive Officer, Defaqto

Before joining Defaqto, John was the CEO for Speechmatics where he transformed the start-up into a scalable technology business, doubling ARR in 18 months. As the Chief Operating Officer for Infomedia Limited, John oversaw a transformation program that resulted in 40% YoY growth. Milliken has led and scaled various fintech, SaaS, enterprise software and deep-tech businesses as both CEO and COO across several industries, including banking and payments during his time as a founding member of the team and MD at Monetise - an organisation that achieved a public market valuation of £1.5bn through pioneering the use of mobile phones as a consumer banking channel.

Bhavin Shah

Portfolio Manager, Mixed Assets and Charities Team, BNY Investments

Bhavin joined Newton in June 2011 as a portfolio manager in the mixed assets and charities team. Prior to joining Newton, he worked at SG Hambros for seven years where he was responsible for managing client portfolios focused on absolute return and multi-asset strategies. Bhavin is co-lead manager on numerous multi-asset accounts at Newton. In addition to portfolio management responsibilities, Bhavin is a member of the multi-asset Investment Risk Oversight Group.

Bhavin holds an MSc in Mathematics with distinction and is a CFA1 charterholder.

Stuart Clark

Portfolio Manager, Quilter

Stuart has been the portfolio manager of the Quilter WealthSelect Managed Portfolio Service since its launch in February 2014. Stuart joined Quilter Investors in 2013 and has more than 20 years of experience in fund research and portfolio management at organisations including UBS Wealth Management and Julius Baer.

Stuart is a CFA charterholder and has a degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Kent.

Ed Green

Investment Specialist, M&G

Ed is a pension and investment specialist with more than 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has worked with several of the UK’s leading life insurance providers and has spent the past 13 years at M&G plc, focusing on the development and delivery of retirement and investment solutions. 

With a strong technical background and a practical approach, Ed works closely with financial advisers to help them navigate complex areas such as tax planning, product structures, and investment suitability in a changing regulatory landscape.

Mark Foster

Olympic Swimmer, Broadcaster and Inspirational Speaker

Mark Foster, former UK swimming champion and five-time Olympian, won 51 international medals and set eight world records. Now a TV personality, motivational speaker, and philanthropist, he inspires through FitSteps™, the Mark Foster Swimming Academy, and advocacy for health and inclusion. Known for his humor and insight, Mark motivates teams and audiences on performance, teamwork, and mindset.
