The publication is split into four parts.

Part 1

We start by giving a background regulatory update including the latest insights from the FCA regarding Consumer Duty. We’ll also examine the two key risks that advisers should be aware of, namely the current political and environmental risk and inflation risk. Finally, we’ll have a detailed look at the current geopolitical, economic and market environments.

Part 2

In this section, we will provide an explanation of the tax-advantaged investment schemes that are available by defining each product type and outlining the key points for each. We provide a summary of how these investment schemes and tax reliefs work, the types of businesses that qualify and the benefits they offer to investors and business owners, particularly for inheritance planning and early-stage investing.

We’ll then take a detailed look at Business Relief (BR), the main focus of this publication. We will outline what BR provides, give a snapshot of the BR market, look at the important considerations for BR, its typical fees and charges and the changes to BR and IHT that were proposed in both the Autumn Budgets 2024 and 2025.

Part 3

Here we put the spotlight on Triple Point LLP as a firm and discuss in detail the Triple Point Estate Planning Service, including its performance, diversification and investment process, asset profile, liquidity, HMRC compliance, valuation and reporting, and fees and charges.

Part 4

This section includes a client case study outlining two scenarios for the same client, one where the client invests in a BR service and one where the client does not. We will note the difference a BR service can make when planning for IHT. We will also include some frequently asked questions and provide answers to all these
